Luckily some of my work caught the attention of the President of the Zeta Chi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. I've been a member since 2003. She also requested napkin rings and wine charms. After that, she invited me to create some custom jewelry for one of the Area Meetings in 2014. My cousin, Courtney crocheted some baby items and helped me with the event for the Sorors at the University of Oklahoma.
These projects became the early stages of Mystery Maracuja. Through this process I learned a lot about licensing for Greek letter organizations as well as the process for producing official merchandise (which this is not). Overall it was a good experience, even though the tight deadline left me with so much hand pain that I did not make any jewelry for a very long time afterward.
