Guy and I met in late August 2015 at UPS. He approached me with the line, “You gon’ let me get to know you outside of work?” Since he had such a baby face, I asked, “How old are you?”

At the time, he was 26 and I was 29. “Boy, I’m going to be robbing the cradle!”  I replied. He let me think about him for a few days and then he came back and said “So, have you thought about me yet?” Needless to say, I took his number. The weekend comes and I can't find his number anywhere! I looked for about 20 minutes.  By the grace of God, I found his number. I call and we talked on the phone for hours - all night in fact. The next day, Saturday, September 12th, we ate breakfast at IHOP. September 12th is his Mom's birthday as well, so we picked her out a birthday gift and headed to her place to eat cake and ice cream. That night we sealed our first date with a kiss, as he walked me to my door.  Two years later, we’re engagement ring shopping. I helped him pick out my ring, but the proposal date was a surprise. Sunday, October 22nd with morning breath and coal still in my eyes, Guy proposed!  

Of course, I said YES!
